Is that why there weren't many boats in the harbor at Molokai, when we were there in November? That crossing was quite 'interesting' even on the ferry.

Channel can be pretty rough, but a lot of fisherman make the trip to do bottom fishing off Pelican Bank. Apparently, I've turned into somewhat of a wuss as I've aged. I've driven large Navy ships in 20 ft seas, but I'm still not used to the movement of my :macm: in 6-8' swell, which is pretty typical around here.

I think the real reason there aren't many boats on Molokai is that there's not much on the entire island. Have to cross the same channel to get from Honolulu to Maui, Kona, or Hilo, so I don't think the channel's a factor. Just for small sail boats. :|
