As for Cheryl, she has never been big on going online or posting here. There were a couple of dealers who posted here often. I guess most of them are too busy for this stuff.

That may be the case, but she started this thread by making the first post, and asking for our help. Therefore, when she was asked a question, she should asnswer it. That is only good manners.

Like or not you have to play the social media and Internet game. But, lots of people fail at that. Example, I have a great kayak accessory probably the best in the world yet my website gets zero hits. I have no social media presence since I'm just not that big on FaceBook and all that stuff. In fact it drives me batty.
Then you really should go on all the forums that pertain to your products and create buzz and excitement. Which I don't. I just don't think about it. Finally you have to have a snazzy website. Ha. I'm a guy who thought Rogers ancient website was just fine. Told me what I needed to know. Mines about as bad.
If you look at some of the scam websites they have no product or a bad one yet they succeed because they know how to play the game.
The tattoo/Mac is a great product and there were plenty of people who were excited about the 22. Maybe they ought to budget a publicist and Internet person.

Yup. My last job I found the company website looking worse than Roger's website. And several phone book ads. I felt bad for the phone book salesman. He's pitching how great it is and they can track calls. So when I asked him how many calls our $400/month phone book ad generated last year, the answer was 3 and lasted avg 12 seconds (eg: wrong numbers).
Took that money an applied it to google adwords.

Hey IX, how much is your product? A fantastic online advertising is facebook. It's amazing how detailed you can drill down for your target audience.
eg: Women 18-27 who swim, knit, eat bagels and have no kids...it's amazing.

It's a lot of work, but doesn't have to be crazy. Website design is #1. Key words, no words embedded in graphics etc. Dynamic content. And yes, self promotion on other sites. Get a mention (link) from a national magazine and you are boosted way up.

Aint that the truth. What a great business, that sells every unit you can produce without really marketing it. I also credit THIS forum as social marketing. It's the reason I bought mine without ever stepping foot on one.

Just been busy answering calls and shipping out parts to MacGregor owners. I am so sorry for not answering you guys. I do not check in often enough. I do have one last 2014 Tattoo 26 sailboat available, it is our demo boat. I did not post prices or equipment list because I felt that this is not the place to post an add. I only was looking for word of mouth support, let people you know that may be interested in a new boat know that I have one available. As for Tattoo Yachts, I cannot speak for them. I only know what they told me which is that they are looking for a new factory to build the Tattoo 22. They told me they have no plans to build any more 26's. Todd and I plan to continue to support you guys with parts, answers to your questions, service, sails, etc. The parts business has been busy, which is why I don't have extra time to check in often. Thanks for your answer, and I hope you sale the tatto 26 to a good home. It is a sad day to see the end of the 26 line. I know that I have enjoyed my 2007 Mac 26. This may be my last year with her, as I will almost be 81 this summer, and am not as agile as I use to be.

I do have a customer coming on Sunday to view the boat and do a demonstration ride. Nice fellow from Canada! And, yes the demo boat we have available is fully rigged with all the best equipment ready to cruise! It is sad to see it going away, if it doesn't sell then I will happily keep it!
