KRV What is your max rpm for 20mph and cruise at 17mph?
Are you talking knots or MPH? I cruise at 17-18 knots (20 MPH) just under full throttle and max out at 20 (24 MPH) (right conditions). I highly doubt I will get to 20 after my bottom paint is finished :)

I'm at 15-16 mph in calm seas with full ballast and two adults on board. I have a 2005 26M with a Yamaha T50 (50 HP high thrust) 4 stroke engine driving a 14x11 prop.

I have yet to go out without full ballast. The admiral won't permit it and I haven't been out solo yet.

Regards,
ROB

Hey Scott,

I think you may have a problem... In that picture, it doesn't look like your rudders are up... So, I bet they snapped off long before you hit 140...

But cudos to you for being able to control that squirrly beast with the rudders down!!! (That's usually how I remember to pull them up, the boat starts getting squirrly... ;)

I also hope you left the mast on the beach, 'cause it aint there either... I wonder if it could handle motoring at 140? (See other thread...) Have you tested that? ;)

I did 23 mph with four on board unballasted when I got the boat.

Now we are down to 19 or so with all the stuff we have loaded up.

IT makes a big difference if your motor is up or down...

Ok, Bottom paint is done. I have to change my engine performance on this thread. My Mac is now cruising at 15.4 knots on average with a top speed (right conditions) of 19. I lost between 1.5 and 2 knots of speed with the barrier and bottom paint.
