Thanks! Yeah, I plan on wrapping wire ties around them and then leaving the "tag" on so that they stay off the sides.

Hi Taylormade,
Just moving on a bit, do you happen to know the size and preferred material for the rivets used to attach the gooseneck to the mast? Mine are a little loose and I'd like to replace them. The existing rivets look awfully like stainless but I struggle enough with Aluminium rivets. Is monel a good compromise?

Monel is far better than Aluminium or Stainless, Aluminium isnt strong enough and you will get electrolysis between the gooseneck and the rivets unless well insulated same issue with stainless steel rivets that are strong but will cause electrolysis in the Aluminium mast.
Monel is pretty strong and wont overly cause electrolysis issues.
In any case use a insulator ( Duralac) between the gooseneck and the mast and in the rivet holes
