A battery pack is a better option if you live in cold country with a few cars as it’s faster than waiting for AAA

I use my pack to pump out the tender after rain, with a portable bilge pump

I can easily carry the pack ashore and charge it at a power plug on Cape too.

I got rid of the springy cord Mercury gave me and replaced with stiff cord which pulls much better.

Does everyone know how to set an engine onto a compression stroke to start with a cord or has that knowledge been lost by electric start mowers?

My 50 starts with one pull, I’m not tiny but I’m not a weightlifter, either.

I considered bolting up some kind of pulley at the proper angle height so the rope wouldn't slip off the top and running a longer rope so I can get away from the steering wheel...but thought I'd ask here first to see if anyone else had made some creative way to make Rogers idea actually work while out on the water
