So I figure on Anchoring near Adams Key and waiting for a weather window. If the repairs/mods on my 26X happen rapidly, I will be underway by end of Month.
Updates!!!! Where have you made it to?

Well this really sucks.
Had to abort my trip over...wait for it...
FAMILY DRAMA
I have a WACKO MOTHER who had to move into our town. Up to my eyeballs in BS as a result.
TRIP ABORTED.
I am so sad about this I could...well...EARLY November I am headed down to Homestead to try again. JOIN UP.
SO, this summer is major upgrades to SV Star Catcher...on Lake Michigan.
- MacStack installation
Reefing kit install
Running mainsail lines to cockpit.
New NAV POD install on Pedestal.
New wind measurement unit and display to install which I got from NASA Marine in the UK (USA prices were RIDICULOUS for solar powered anenometer).
I will post videos from my Rumble channel.

This is the wind instrument kit I am installing. It is SOLAR powered and WIRELESS. I connect it to my NMEA2000 network wirelessly with an interface.
Here is one of several links:
https://nvnmarine.com/products/64391-cl ... -w-display
Part number is CL-WWS but you need the converter to get it into your NMEA 2000 network...I am unsure of THAT part number.
I am heading to the UP of Michigan in early MAY to get started.
For the ENTIRE wireless kid I paid around $500.
I also got LUCKY. Found an I40 Raymarine display INCORRECTLY listed on e-Bay and got it for $125 LOL...It links to wind and transducer for depth.
Finally, installing a cockpit shower. I like it because it is STOWABLE.
Making a separate post for summer Expedition 4 on Lake Michigan.

There are a fair number of towns in Texas with interesting names… one could have a field day if one had a mind to….
Like:
IRAAN into TARZAN who was involved in a BUG TUSSLE with BUDA over a DING DONG. They didn’t want to be DUMAS so they had a plate of NOODLE and FROGNOT in a place with NOTREES. Is that WACO?

Charles, Sorry for your experience. A quote from my brother (now deceased): “Life is what happens to you while your planning something else”. Boating is a great escape from LIFE. If a trip to the North Channel is in the cards for you this Summer - Consider a Macgregor Floatilla that I will try to organize this Summer. Again, sorry for your experience, Closehaul
