Just to confuse things here, I'm strongly considering going with 10' walls. I held up a 10' pipe next to the boat and imagined trying to work on top of the cabin if the walls were a only 9'. With 10' walls I'll have 13' in the center of the garage.

On a related note, I measured the highest point on the mast with the tongue jack as low as it could get and it's just shy of 10'. So, for me, 10' is the highest the tip of my mast can get. On the hitch it will be at least a foot lower.

This is totally "mission creep", but should you ever get the RV bug and want to park your travel trailer or Class A or C motorhome in that garage, you would like at least 13 ft height clearance, possibly more. I don't go under any overpasses or tree limbs with my travel trailer that are less than 13 ft. A simple travel trailer is about 11 feet plus the height of the A/C unit(s) on top. Since some of us on the forum do both, I thought I would throw that in just as "food for thought".

Nothing worse than a lack of headspace when you need to mess around in the cockpit once the boat is in the garage. I'd also be thinking about resell value - i.e.; for the next people who might want to buy your house and would be helped along in their decision if they knew their RV fit in the garage.
You initially missed out on a 2005. Not trying to take this thread on a tangent, but 45plus+, what year :macm: did you get? If you have posted it, I don’t remember seeing it.
Hi there - I found a 2011 M back in 2022. Had it in the water a bit that year to motor about, had health problems in 2023 so it sat on the hard. Looking forward to the 2024 season for sure.

Just a thought, if you look at JimmyT's photo on this thread... 10' walls means what size door opening? How much room will the door need to function?

Also 13' at the center means you are talking about an open ceiling, but what if you put in a door opener? That takes away about a foot, dead center, no?

I bought a wall mounted garage door opener. This one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H4 ... =UTF8&th=1.

I didn’t see the model you bought. How heavy a door will it lift?
