That is EXCELLENT. I see the difference in the CDI furler. It uses an actual turnbuckle.

The turnbuckle is used to adjust the mast to 94 degrees as per the manual. Which is needed for proper handling. Too far forward the boat will turn away from the wind (undesirable). Too far back the boat will turn into the wind. someone on this forum used 92 degrees to balance it better, i think it was Tom Foolery. There is a good document, either in the resources on this site or its on BWY website on how to properly rig the sail on a 26X.

In comparison to mine, yours is cranked down waaaay tighter, so your actual forestay must be longer than mine. If my turnbuckle was like yours, there would be no way that I could pin it in place.

Actually when I unhooked the forestay to mess around with the different ways to secure the turnbuckle I tightened it thinking it felt to loose before. After I took that picture I went to hook it back up, no way was i getting that pin in so I had to loosen it.
