We are going to keep it. (It is registered and insured now). It is good overall.
I am not upset or bent out of shape over this (dagger board or jib block). I am just curious to the way it should be. Don't take read into my queries that I am mad. I am not. I am just curious.
It is just sad that not only is the boat in less than ideal condition(gelcoat, wax) IMO, paid for accessories not installed, agreed upon mast channel not installed, but standard issue stuff is not even installed correctly. It is pretty much a comedy at this point. You just have to laugh. I mean...what other issue is going to surface? This is like "where's waldo"

Paul - The above post was mine. When I did a map search for Waldo, I got the "illegal operation" notice and shut me down, and apparently logging me out also.

Paul,
Since you have decided to keep it I would talk to the dealer. Tell him you will do all the installation yourself and make him reimburse you for it. That way you know it is done right the first time and you know the way it is done. I am sure some of the dealers that frequent this board could tell you how much they charge to do the work you are about to perform. I like the option of doing all the work myself that way I can't blame anybody. Plus you will know how to fix it. There are tooo many grains of salt in the sea don't shed one on this. Again...the reason I have the dealer prep and rig the boat is because I don't have a clue how to. I won't know if it is done right or wrong anyway. I could potentially make it worse. I would rather have the dealer do it. If something happens I at least have someone to blame.
I am not worried or upset. After the initial shock at the poor condition of the gelcoat, everything else is just par for the course. The dealer is sending one of his guys over in a couple weeks to complete the work. We will see how it goes.
