Thanks Tripp Gal for info on Bloopers.
I think Minney's is the world headquaters for used bloopers considering his inventory.
I will look out for one the next time I go sailing as there is always a sailing race going on around here in Long Beach.
Do you remember the trial races for the Americas Cup here in Long Beach a couple of years ago when one of the boats lost its keel and sank? I was sailing by when it happened. It was in all the papers. Amazing to see a boat going down as these boats cost a fortune and have the best of everything including designers, sails, rigging, sailors, etc.
There were other escort boats along with the race boat and no one got hurt.

I would be incredibly surprised if you found anyone still flying a blooper. Send a photo if you do!

for reference the blooper is the one on the leeward side of the spinnaker (not the one aft):

Sudie's photo is great, but it seems Anarchy's format cannot be viewed here .... (no surprise!) :D

Thanks Frank, It was the best photo I could find and of course I'm sorta partial to Windward Passage. Lordy she's looker, and to think she just went through a complete refit and looks even prettier than she did back then.

I could see myself rigging that arrangement and ending up in sheet and halyard spaghetti really quickly.... :P
