The Dutchman is probably the best mainsail handling systme out there. The lines feed right through the sail so it flakes neatly every thime and no jacks for the sail to get hung up on. You do pay for that which is best, however. Approx $600 installed. Probably only makes sense on a new mainsail. I am waiting to get mine, sail it for a while, and may then consider getting this system,. I'm not sure how performance would or wouldn't be affected. The lines feed through plastic grommets installed on the sail and attach to the topping lift.
