Just pulled my boat last night and it has a dark brown coating on the bottom. I was unable to power wash right away but will try to clean it this weekend. It had no bottom paint, no wax, no nothin' on the bottom. I will take some pics before and after cleaning and post them online.
The keel was sanded down, then painted with rust converter and then a coat of white enamel prior to going into the water. It is now looking like it did prior to sanding the rust off, all brown and rusty again. Probably would have been a lot worse without the sanding, priming and painting, though.
