True enough John. :)
You have an awesome set up there.

Once you sell your other boat, you'll have room for your new 26M in there.

After crowing about the first cruise of the season to mark your end of season, the weather has packed it in.

Saturday - Showers increasing. Temp 14 (58). Wind 25 knots

Sunday - Rain. Temp 13 (56). Wind 30 knots

Monday - Rain. Temp 14 (58). Wind 25 knots

Tueday - Showers easing. Temp 15 (60). Wind 15 knots

Where's the bloody drought now! Talk about frustrated.

The "sunshine state". That's what we call Florida :)

When you insert emoticons, you'll see that they're represented by a couple of ordinary characters. If any of these character pairs are in your text, they're converted to the smiley or whatever. The characters for the "cool" face with the shades are "8 )" (without a space). so when Lease wrote "( 58 )" without spaces, the 8 ) was shown as a smiley!

Computers are really dumb

ModsNote:
However, there is a checkbox at bottom of every posting edit box that permits disabling smilies for that individual post ... Lease's post above has now been disabled for smilies, so his intended numbers shine thru! ~fc

We are heading down to Dallas tomorrow to go greet the arrival of Grand Son #2. While down there we plan on stopping by West Marine and investing in bottom paint. If someone wants to become a millionaire, figure out how to formulate an inexpensive bottom paint formula.

Anyway, it will be cool to see the new junior Captain. When we get back, it will be time to get the boat out of the water. It will be traumatic stress to pull Rhapsody out of the water. What will I do until Spring arrives???

I have lots of mods planned this winter like replacing the M mast swivel system (that kinda works of you are lucky and jump and down in the cockpit enough to make the mast swivel.)

We are a couple of years out to finally hang the 8 to 5 job up and cruise the coast. We are going to follow RichandLori on the cruising dream. except in our case, the kids are grown and our shipmates will be two barking Pomeranians.

Misery is when you have just finished winterizing the boat, packing all the stuff away in the basement that might freeze, and your wife says, why don't we skip Spain this xmas break (the dollar and all that) and take the boat to the Florida Keys.

Yep! I can't argue with you :) Enjoy the Key's :D

A couple of years ago we were in Key West for New Years. If you're there at that time, be sure to be in the square to watch the conch come down when everyone does the count down to the new year. It's their version of the ball at Times Square, New York City.

Our office closed early, and I managed to get a few hours on the Pot'O'Muck (Potomac River) before the sun got too low to keep me halfway warm. :)

Many of my neighbors have pulled their sailboats and power boats out of the water, but I'm hoping there will be a couple more warm days before I finally drag her up on the hard :(
