Thank you Kadet...........very..........very...........much.
I have spent a little bit of time reading and re-reading that form wondering what the rules-implications are.
For some reason I could never find the info you posted.
Now I know why on the 1st page, they only ask is the boat a motorboat or power boat.
Very much appreciated.
I owe you a coldie when we catch-up at Bribie.
Cheers

Congratulations on your purchase. I did the same last year and imported a new 26M from the factory into Ireland. With regard to travelling 120 km to pick up the boat, if you have have arranged some one to unload the boat and commision the trailer then no problem. If you intend to do it yourself, as I did, here are a few of my experiences:
I thought i would be allowed to unload the boat at the port (Dublin, Ireland). This was is not allowed and I had to arrange a haulier with a crane on their lorry to pick the container up and take it out of the port.
Before being able to take it out of the port, i had to obtain a release letter from the shipping line after first paying import duties and taxes.
The boat is shipped with castor wheels fitted to the trailer. The jockey wheel needs to be fitted and the boat dragged out of the container. You will need some strong timber (we used 45mm thick scaffold planks) to form a ramp from the container floor to the ground (approx. 120mm).
Once out of the container the hubs and wheels need to be fitted and the hydraulic brake lines to the hubs connected and the system 'bled'.
The wiring harness is supplied with a male and female connector to splice into your cars wiring. We simply fitted a tow lighting board to the back of the boat.
I a not sure of standard tow ball sizes in Australia, in Europe they are 50mm. The trailer is shipped with a 2" hitch.
Don't be put off by all this, there is nothing complicated, it just needs a bit of planning and thought particularly if you are driving 120km to pick up the boat. good luck
Thanks Rockabill I have someone doing all the hard work as I am lazy and trailer has to get a certificate to meet Australian Transport Regulations before registration. .
Plan is they will call me when everything is ready and all I have to do is hitch up and drive away.
Fitting the standard rigging, furler, BWY cockpit seats, outboard and other goodies extra I ordered is my problem. Planning on taking 4 weeks hoilday from work to sort it all out. Might even get a day or two to go sailing
