Well, it's done (until I've used it and see what needs changing anyway). The switch panel comes factory wired, which saves a bit of time. I rewired the panel so I could switch off the volt meter and USB charger. Was able to retain most of the factory wiring. The other switches control my bilge pump and potable water pump (galley).

Smoke testing in progress... :D

Used these plastic 1/2" copper pipe supports adhered to the hull to keep my wiring out of the way.

Very nice work :) , U never mentioned it but I,m assuming ur tap on the left is a Y valve so as to allow u to switch the tall faucet over to the Draft Beer Keg stored in the bottom left drawer

That is really a "Sweeeeet" setup. My '07 has the rosewood faux trim and I tried to match it for my project. It makes the boat real dark. I like your light wood version much better. May have to do a re-think.

That's why you are the king! It's just a soap dispenser... :( Wish I had thought of that. :D

Thanks Russ! Now to get a weather window that coincides with a blank spot on my social calendar (which is controlled by the Admiral). :)

JimmyT,

Did you happen to weigh your M's old galley?

Mines no longer of this world and I was referencing its weight in another thread. Kind of hard to do that when I don't know what it was. :?

Didn't weigh it without the stove, but the stove and gimbal just weigh a few pounds. The complete galley is 173.2 lbs. Maybe BOAT was right. Capsize may be imminent. :D

Stock sliding galley is 28 lbs.

I'll be interested to see how the boat handles it.
Sorry I didn't see your post sooner Inquisitor. I'm happy to say the site traffic has picked up so much that I missed it.

No worries... mine's been gone for a decade now and you're probably the only other one that's removed it... and I just know you'd check it. :)

I was shocked when I unbolted it and was able to easily remove it by myself. I was expecting it to be lighter than my homemade one, but 28 lbs surprised me.

Hi JimmyT

What a beautiful and well thought out galley mod!
It is so well thought out and crafted. :) :)
It really is a remarkable project. Just beautiful!

There aren’t many people who can remodel an entire kitchen so thoughtfully, extensively and beautifully for only a 173 lbs! Just beautiful!🏅

That is one advantage of the M over the X model in that the entire galley is removable and not structural to the vessel. (The X has a vertical support through the cabin ceiling and lateral support for the floor structure...)

Started on the second phase of my galley mod - the galley table project. It will match the galley, with a light laminate top.

I traced out the original table and drilled the mounting holes. Then, I remounted the table in the boat so I have a usable setup.

Image

Next, I started work on the drawer that will be mounted under the table. Leg room is tight, so I couldn't make the drawer very deep. Its only got to hold the flatware and a few utensils.

The table support rod mounts under the drawer, so the drawer casing has to be fairly strong.

The plate/cup rack will be mounted on top of the table. After I get the drawer wrapped up, I'll start working out the plate/cup rack design.

Hi JimmyT!

No grass grows under your rock! :D
First a fantastic galley and now additions!
:D

(If your bored this coming January-February 2022 We’ve got a dual wall removal/kitchen renovation/deck sliding door renovation to get done that could use some help in SC….😎😎)

Great projects JimmyT!!!

Best Regards,
Over Easy 😎😎🐩🐈
