Stantions--I would not use the stantions on my for any other purpose than a safety measure--not designed for any kind of a load especially anchoring the boom during the forces of an acciential gybe. Why would Roger build them any stronger than necessary? Maybe the is stronger?

I think that the idea of using the genny tracks if a good one,thats what i intend to do.

Why not make a plate to go under the post then rise to the desired location, reinforcing fillets would give side to side strength longer bolts would hold the bracket and post in place. The posts take none of the force from the Traveller.
