Except the force is also raised higher and the wind has more leverage to pull you over. Remember, at the top of the mast a man held the boat on its side in the factory video.

Right. You wouldn't want to use this in weather conditions where you would actually reef. You wouldn't be using a deployed bimini in conditions like that anyway. I think Gypsy's looking for a way to sail with the bimini-up on nice (but hot and sunny) days where the risk of a knock-down is very low.
