A anchor that has 12 ft. or less of chain has little anchor digging in winds/current.
All chain in storm is 3-1 and 3strand to 1 is 7-1 scope.
All chain allows for less swing scope in a crouded harbor without useing a Bahiman Moor.
I have a Fortress 11 but perfer a solid anchor, Home Depot now has a Danforth type 13 lb anchor that fits in a Mac.x locker and has excellant holding in sand, gravel and light grass.
Our light boats require light tackle and this is possible with 1/4 proof coil or much better BBB chain.
I have used all 3/8 BBB chain on my 35 ft Pearson thruout Ma. thru Carribean for 3 years and never draged even tho sand was covering coral rock only 6 inches.
Much less scope and the chain links themselfs hold the boat as the links are part of anchor system .

It all fits in the chain locker. The kellet stops where the rode meets the chain and holds the chain on the bottom, turning the entire kellet, chain, and anchor into the anchor. My rig has never slipped, but I've not ridden a storm out with it either. Pulls up very easily (the admiral can do it) although the grapnel usually opens and has to be closed while it's hanging over board which can be a PIA for her.
I highly recommend using a kellet with any danforth style anchor in any uncertain bottom.
