Hey Doupirate! :D

We haven’t tried our cats on board yet, but it would be nice if they like it the way Doupette does.

Oskar was being complimentary, I think you misunderstood.

Great pictures, seems like an action-trip.

Well done!

LOL!

If the administration doesn't like this thread, mainly because the author states a position about the narrative of their dramatic «storm« promotion video, they should just erase it. No need for that theater!

[mod="kmclemore']The PM's I've had with Doupirate state that he is upset that his topic has been moved to 'Destinations, Clubs, Events and Venues" (DCEV). He seems to think that we moved it there to hide it so that folks won't see any negative information regarding MacGregor's safety and integrity - i.e. he feels we 'censored him' to protect MacGregor Boats, Inc.

Now, I just don't understand his point of view here... I can't see any really negative stuff here about MacGregor, nor can I see a reason why it would be so inappropriate to move it to DCEV, since it does contain so much travel/trip related information. I know for certain we did NOT move it to protect MacGregor - that thought didn't even cross our minds.

Doupirate feels that this thread is more about the engineering of the Mac than it is about DCEV. That seems to be his issue, as far as I can tell.[/mod]

Fwiw, I agree. My reading of the OP's postings see this thread as a trip report, and the DCEV is the correct category for it. If one wants to talk about the engineering aspects of this boat, start a thread with the appropriate title and content for that discussion.

As for the jail & stupid references, what's that about????

Doupirate,

From an internet translator:

Doupirate,

I love your post but and I do not see a change as an attack category. Your article is a report on a journey. I find easily and every time there is a ca comment just on the main page. I ouiblis all the time put my posts in a category... and I like the Macgregor, but I'm not afraid to talk about its defects and when his good attributes.

Rob

Perhaps a better translation, given my horrible French, but I'll let Rob give it to us better...
I really like your post, but I can't see the change in category as an attack. Your article is more of a trip (journey) report. I find it easy to see whenever there is a comment just on the main page. I virtually always put my posts in a category ... and I like the MacGregor but I'm not afraid to talk about its faults and its good attributes.

MMMMMM
Now I could really get things going here with a little Irish or Scottish gailic :) Roll the dice anyone ! :P

I would say we have a diff. in culture shock here :o No ! , some cultures are more sensitive to change than other's & whats perceived to be just a correction by most of us , can be perceived as something else by other's

So I suggest u moderators will have to start taking Diplomatic courses to get the feel for all cultures after all U are on a World Platform here so please feel free to contact me as ur Freelance Diplomatic Attach !

All aside our Mods do a hella of a job but i wish u's could do something with that Beene Guy !! :P , Rob or Bertrand can maybe settle our dear friend down & explain that their was No Pun Intended & this was just a Tittle Change & nothing more , see sometimes things just need alittle more explaination Ah this is a great world we live in Eh ! :)

Still a great post though even with all the misunderstanding :) Now can I let my Cougar loose ! :)

Well done Kevin! I would say just “I forget all the time to put my posts in a category” as a bit closer, and "each time there is a commentary it goes on the main page".

The internet translator does get closer than nothing for sure, Phil.

Doupirate –Just a little misunderstanding- all friends here. Loved your trip report, by the way.

kmclemore:
Thank you for posting an explanation of Doupirate's concerns Kevin. I was dismayed to read what appeared to be an adverse reaction to my complimentary comments about the cat's participation in the voyage. In the light of your explanation it now appears that I just happened to post at the time you moved the thread to a different category. It might have helped to avoid the misunderstanding if the Mods had added a post explaining why the thread was moved.

Doupirate:
I liked your thread very much and I valued the information you provided about the :macm: 's performance under adverse sea conditions. I also liked the information about how well your Doupette has adapted to being on board. Please pardon me if my comments caused any offence. No offence was intended.
