My question to Tattoo Yachts on trailer parts got answered yesterday.
Apparently, they're still monitoring their email accounts.

Heath is in no way associated, beholding to or linked to MacGregor Yachts or Tattoo Yachts. He receives no financial benefit, no gifts, no nothing. Heath offers this website out of his own generosity and it is supported by his own funds, funds received from classifieds, click-thru sponsor adverts and donations. We are able to use the logo because, quite frankly, I personally asked the nice folks at Tattoo if we could please use it and they agreed, given we have a history of being the best, friendliest, oldest and most active MacGregor forum on the internet. They owe us nothing, and the forum does not stand as a sales or promotion outlet for either company. However, I am grateful when they are able to participate here on the forum as it brings the owners close to the makers and that's always a good thing.RGF wrote:And in my IMHO, I strongly disagree. This website belongs to Heath and he is welcome to do with it obviously as he wishes and I am certainly not aware of any financial agreements he has with Tattoo Yachts, but as long as their company name is on the banner for this website I would think more than a "gift" is needed. I am sure at one point in the future Tattoo will be hoping to sell boats through discussion on this website. For that reason I hope all of us are considered more than "gift receivers", and more as "gospel spreaders" for (hopefully) a new and successful boat company.
Hear, hear Kevin. Well said.kmclemore wrote:Heath is in no way associated, beholding to or linked to MacGregor Yachts or Tattoo Yachts. He receives no financial benefit, no gifts, no nothing. Yes, I do... although I'd describe it more as a courtesy. IMHO they have no responsibility to be a presence here or on any of the Mac forums or FB pages, no more than than Toyota folks have a responsibility to be on the Toyota forums/FB pages and Whirlpool folks have to be on the appliance forums/FB pages. If they show up it's nice, but it's certainly not expected.RGF wrote:Totally agree with all you say about Heath and the website (as I attempted to state),Kevin. Simply put, do you consider their presence/comments " a gift " though?

Now it is obviously good business to capitalize on the previous success she's inherited, and it is fantastic for us that Laura is very kind to us, but the truth is that she is trying to work out the details of her own new business, and any nod our direction should be taken as the gift it is.
Just MHO...
I politely disagree, it does not beg the question.RGF wrote:Exactly, Kevin! A courtesy, not a "gift". It may be semantics, but there is a big difference. It does beg the question however, might it not in the future, potentially increase sales of Tattoo Yachts being on this board as it does Bluewater Yachts being on here (and thank goodness they are). It seems in my web surfing there are more company representatives on boat company ( or marine products) websites than car or washer and dryer websites....![]()
( oh and by the way, there is a Toyota rep on the Prius forum occasionally offering tips and knowledge)

Getting a manufacturing operation of the ground and into the sea is an incredibly complex undertaking. People doing this don't tweet, and Charlie don't surf...
