H Tom,
I've been looking to buy some Lynch Pins to secure the Spreader Tips to the Spreader tubes. But I'm now wondering about how the Lynch Pin ring clip shut when the Stay wire (going through the spreader tip) is in the way?.... I can't visualize how that works?
All the best.

I meant PTO pins, which have a 'hoop' that hinges at the head, and snaps over the other end. Linchpins, as the term is commonly used, is a round ring through the head of a pin, and that won't work.
But I haven't found PTO pins small enough for the end caps, not that I've searched that hard. I may use quick pins, which have a little spring ball in the end and a loop at the head, and just zip tie it in as a backup. Quicker than pulling out tools for the small nut and bolt that's in there now. And after some lively sailing last weekend, I'm not totally comfortable with not securing the end caps at all, as a loose shroud may pop out of the spreader.
