So, I guess you already have one? Anyone have one mounted yet?

Hmmm, wonder if it would fit in the cavity between the gas tank trunk and the transom? Hmmmm.

I found this link scroll down to misc. equip. & u,ll see the Whale Manual Pump cover & handle looks like it is installed inside the rear of the S/B side fuel tank storage area as u can see the hinge above it for the S/B seat lid
http://macgregorexport.com/options/

here,s the manual pump just not sure if this is the model they used or which mounting brkt, maybe someone who has a C/E approved boat can chum in with the mod # as they should have got the pump instruction & parts manual when they bought the boat

You know John, that does make a lot of sense - that is a good place for it:

If the boat is swamped and your trying to bail the last place you want to be is down below under water.
Having whale pump out in the cockpit makes a lot more sense - I noticed that's where whales pumps are on all the big old sailboats I see in the marina.

Only if you want the ability to re-float after some patchwork. Also the evacuation of the holding tank as a secondary use.

It,s a requirement for C/E approval . 1 electric bilge & 1 manual bilge pump along with 2 deck handles ,aft rails , electric horn , plus what ever ?

For what they cost they r pretty cheap insurance that just might save not only ur life but also ur investment & if u r in an area where the water is pretty much cold most of the yr like the NWP :o , u don,t wanna be swimmin with the great Orca,s killer whale,s for too long :)

PS remember u r not necc. gonna always b able to get bailing bucket access to where ever u have water intrusion but a 1" to 1 1/2" hose should b able to reach pretty much any where on a mac hopefully , it,s something I may consider once I,m al done my list of Mods ! :D :D :D

It looks like this ^ see picture above ^ (it has a picture of a whale on it - that was the deciding factor for me),

and it works like this v (see video below) v :

It's the same pump company you guys recommended.

don't know if this pump is so comfortable for your hands in an emergency. There is no handle to grab...
