also I no longer use the solid support tubes shown in the pix. The bimini rests against the mast crutch no need to even tie it down unless I tow the boat.

This is a BW stock Bimini, way oversized. I cut down the forward bow to facilitate the boom. I have standing headroom at the helm, and shade all day long almost to the hatch.

Mounted it on six foot sliders on the rails to allow it to cover the open hatch when anchored.

MTC, you should post some more picks in the mods section so we can get a better look. This looks like the best of both worlds. It has the arms outside of the Genoa rails, similar to what Aya16 did. This makes it wider. It is tall like Aya16's, which allows it to lay back on top of the stearn rail seats and leave them still usable. Putting it on its own track to be able to modify the position while docked sounds like a great addition... So how much stock and how much custom?

The Boater's World binimi comes in sunbrella fabric top for different sized and you buy the bows to match the top. Two piece unit. About 60% of the WB bimini and better made.

I believe the mod is in posted, at least I thought it was. I'll check.

The only mods for the install was cutting about 12" of the forward lower ends, the 'dogbone' part. This lowered the leading edge and now it looks pretty cool, kinda raked and lowered, if you please. Reminds me of a Merc coupe.



The shading is wonderful under the Florida sun.

Those biminis look great guys! That's a definite advantage you have over the X-boats.
I'm pretty sure the backstay would put that bimini right over the boom.

I took the leap and ordered the Overton Bimini. Looked at every bimini out there for the M and finally placed an order. I ordered the sliding tracks and plan to install on the deck joint. I have seen this type of install discussed - have there been any issues or lessons learned. btw.... I got the 15% discount with the code posted on this site, Thanks
