Sail on Lake Superior! The Apostles. Isle Royale. etc. Not as much humidity. No sharks. Won't drown in Superior -- you'll die of hypothermia first! It's a good place.
There ya go ... the allure of CA! Much less humidity, with same hypothermia in both Tahoe and the Pacific. Swimming only in pools, hot tubs or lowland lakes.

No gators, few insects, no snow plows, no snow, rarely any frost unless you go looking for them.

The counter-points ... ?
Sharks? yep;
Landslides? yep;
Earthquakes? yep;
Taxes? fer shure!! :|

The only bad thing about Florida.....grabbing a line and jumping overboard to cool off...is like trolling for gators.....

Water plus boat equals fun.

I think most of us would agree that any place with water is a great place if we have an appropriate boat at our disposal... pirougue, kayak, 12meter yacht, whatever.

A nice time to go sailing.
Catch the sun-set to the west and the moon-rise to the east.

Freighters

Na "Beene" I think they were refering to the inflatable landing craft on the beach. I shure could use some rail meat like that :P . Don't know if the inflatable kind would blow off :!: the rails that is :| could use beer for ballast though :wink: don't think I should take this any further I might get myself into trouble here with some of the girls on this site . If they don't already have a laser dot pointing in my direction :? Ah Sh_t :|
