We have settled on
Trailer Trash for our boat name. It isn't romantic but has a little bit of irony and self depriciation that I like.
The new boat widget syndrome has gotten hold of me though. I've replaced all standing rigging (with the exception of the baby shrouds), all running rigging, added IDA Sailor rudder & daggerboard and now I'm pushing the $7000 investment range.

...just do some hunting. The 26Xs often cost more because they have expensive motors. The C and D models cost less and sail better.

Ive been doing the rounds on the web,the cheapest 26c that i can find is up for sale at £7000.00 GBpounds, the most expensive is coming in at £13000.00 GB pounds.
The reason for macs costing more here than they do in the US is that we get taxed to the knuckle over here.
To get a mac into the UK,it has Vat (17.5%) import duty (10%) then transport costs, then CE cerification£(850.00)
Im thinking more of a 26c than an X or an M,I want to go sailing not power boating.
IMHO, macgegor boats are going to lose lots of ground to the Imexus 27,over here the 26m is the same price as the imexus.
