Re: Where are you on the Google Trailer Sailer Map?
Now that there are 28 Mac Sailors on the site is there any issue with multiple people being logged on using the same username/password at the same time?

Re: Where are you on the Google Trailer Sailer Map?
I think the only potential issue is if someone else hits 'save' and 'done' whilst somebody is in the middle of editing, but I'm not sure even that's a problem. I think we're OK for now - the Google maps are designed to be multi-user. If you have a Google ID, BTW, you can just sign on as yourself and add the map to 'my maps' and you can log on as yourself and still add placemarks (note that I signed on as PUFF4 for mine).

Kevin (or anyone else that knows),
I have created my own Google account. But how do I add the Macgregor Sailors Map to "My Maps"?
Thanks,
Jim

Re: Where are you on the Google Trailer Sailer Map?
Hello,
Even with my upgraded OS and Safari the marker (teardrop) icon does not appear unless I create a new map. So I have found no way to add myself to the mac map. The help instructions are written like I should open the map and it should just be there, but it is not. You guys amaze me. You say something is simple and then post how with 3 lines of code. Yeah right, like I should know what it means. I guess I better go back to school.
Don
On edit: OK, so I got it to work finally. The street view caught the van, mustang and Mac parked in plain sight. I also looked at the street view of PCC and it caught my van parked there too. Looks like August 2006.

--- Search for "Miss Tecumseh" (or any other known placemark - that happens to be mine)
--- You'll see the link appear on the left - click on the "Macgregor Sailors Map" link.
--- Once that map opens, click on "Save to My Maps".
Done!

Didn't work for me. Got 44 hits but none of them were your boat. I tried searching for my boat and others that I know are on the map but I can't find them when I log on with my personal google log on.

First make sure that you are not logged onto your Google account, then go to the Macgregor Map site Here.
Near the upper left corner of the map, you will see a link "Save to My Maps". Click it then log into your Google account and all will be well. Then when you log into your Google account, just go to Maps > My Maps and click on the Macgregor Map link.

Re: Where are you on the Google Trailer Sailer Map?
I just learned a new trick. In the satellite view, at the top of the scale/zoom bar on the left side, there is a "yellow man" symbol. Click and drag him to a street and you can get a great street level view of the location. Apparently it only works on streets...it seems a truck with a 360 degree camera drove by and all the pics are stored on Google.
Very cool.
More of you guys need to put your boat/marina/sailing area on this website.
