I ordered DF90A with 3X14X13 prop for my heavy :macm: with bottom paint.For a spare I found this one http://boatpropellers.iboats.com/Suzuki ... =117732590
or I should go for that one http://boatpropellers.iboats.com/Suzuki ... =117732590 ???

Thanks,
There is no way to predict which is the right one. You need to get your boat on the water with a trial prop and then use the results to figure out where to go from there. Your first link is a 14x11x4, which is the right choice for my E-tec 90 on my heavy X with bottom paint; however there are other X's out there with the same motor that would have no trouble swinging the 15-pitch prop shown on your second link.

I would take your 3x14x13 prop for a test run, both ballasted and unballasted, and post the results here for good advice on your next step. I personally wouldn't buy a second prop until I had data in hand.

What I have read on this forum makes me feel that I should go for the same prop as you mentioned as 4X14X11. It's also good to have the data from the stock 3X14X13 prop. (same conditions like Stefan has in black sea :!: )

Thanks a lot..

If you can rev past 6200 then you need more pitch.

But 2044 cc. is huge :!: So I better go for 1502 cc.

Thanks,

Have you looked at the weight difference between the 90 and 115?

I have the DF90A and with my X loaded for bear can only get about 5300 RPM using the 14x13x3 stock suzuki prop. To get 6200 RPM I need to empty the boat, no ballast and leave the mast in the yard.

I am looking forward to hearing what kind of speed you are getting with the Solas 13.75X13X3 prop

With boat loaded, ballast in, full fuel, 20 gal water, two batteries and two people we were running about 25 MPH.

Need to prop the boat to run 6200 fairly loaded for cruising with no ballast if you want performance with ballast.

Thanks Victor,

I tested with ballast and 2 people, same conditions:

hit 6200 rpm again...I noticed they send me 13.5X15X3 prop not the 13.875X15X3 as a stock prop.I can replace with the 13.875 one.
Can't decide which one to choose...????
Any advise...??

Thanks a lot,
