Maybe Simon's idea is not such a bad one to have a separate Mac section on the TSP site. We still have access to this site, but have a dedicated OZ Mac section on there, unless they will create on on here..

We should all be open to suggestions.

I can feel a heated debate coming up.
Better go and check it out as if it works without too much drama it would be great, could even have a permanent link here :?:
As an extension of this for other mac owners everywhere perhaps there could be links set for all local countries/regions as I notice again and again owners or prospective owners asking for contacts to owners, conditions or suppliers in their local area :?:

Boblee,
Rockman is still sorting out some security issues. Suggested last night to PM him to get access.

I see the proverbial has hit the fan, there doesn't seem to be much support and in hindsight, maybe it could have been aired first.
It wouldn't matter how it was presented though as there are some members who would want to pull it to bits.
I guess we now need to see if it can be calmed down.

Yep and even me taking the blame does not help. It just stirred the pot more.

Sorry that other site didn't work out, guys - I really am. We've raised issue with Heath, the owner of this site, and I'm sure it's under consideration. With a young family, a job, etc., well, it's a lot for Heath to handle and I can understand why it's taking a while. I only ask that you please be patient and understanding in the interim.

I guess if such a forum section were created, though, *IMHO* I'd like to see that section only cover OZ-specific subjects. If the OZ section starts creating threads about what's the best way to dump the ballast, mods to the galley, etc., - things that are common to Mac's no matter where they are owned - then it's really going to take away from the Powersailor section and it's going to duplicate a lot of already existing conversations.

Thoughts?

Welcome aboard, Phil

There is a wealth of information on this site, as there is on www.trailersailerplace.com.au. Although they like to do a bit of Mac bashing there.

I agree with your statement, kmclemore.

It should only be specific to OZ, like get togethers, sailing areas, best launching places, etc.

Hi mylollies (Phil) welcome aboard. :)

Can I suggest that you go to your Profile page and add to the Location section, something like 'Melbourne, Australia, 26M' so others on the forum know where you are.

You make Aussie #61 on the list I've got :)
