Hehe, sorry, my fault. I mixed up "the head" with the bed in the bow.
Pls excuse me, english is not my first language.
I thought it was a little strange when you said you thought of the head as a children resting room in calm conditions.

Ya just made me spill my Scotch all over the keyboard. Thats bloody hilarious
Still, stick a decent gate hasp and padlock on the head door, and not a bad idea And in rough conditions, we could probably gate hasp em into the V-berth locker (might stick the Admiral in there too.......)
Hehe, language mix-ups are never too serious to joke about.
Here in Norway, spring is the air. Maybe next weekend, I will put the daycruiser back on the water and start to advertise. The amount of boats for sale are increasing now, but not so many MacGregors yet...
One question I'd like to pop here, not sure if this is the correct thread, but here it goes:
Norway is among the worst possible countries world wide when it comes to importing second-hand boats. The main reason are the tax levels. No matter how old the boat engine is, you still will be claimed to pay full taxes equal to a brand new engine. And when the taxes sum up to more than 60% of the new engines price, that might turn out to be a bad idea...
But still, prices here in Norway are high. And shipping a Mac 26 from the US to Norway is not so badly priced. Especialy if I find a boat located in the area close to New Jersey, I have some good possibilites. So:
If I find a suitable boat advertised for sale in the US, do you think any one "over there" would be interested in selling a 26X/M without the engine? In other words, dismounting the engine and sell it to someone else?

Appreciate any thoughts, folks.
Problem is that it is not certified for European use, so check with your insurance company if that would be a problem. It could also be a problem when you want to sell it
Good point, there will be an additional cost for "CE-marking" the boat. I think that problem can be solved, as long as the producer is willing to forward a Certificate of Conformity for the actual model, and that there is an existing main import of the actual model. That is at least the summary of my reading up to this point.
But I might be be better off looking for an example that already have been imported into Europe, for sure.
