Doug-I really enjoy your videos. Big part of why I bought a Mac. Keep them coming. Nothing against Kurt, but I'd rather watch a Mac video.

I know you spend more than $2.00 per year. How much did that drone cost? :?

While up in Fort Lauderdale, after dropping my wife off at the airport, I stayed overnight & caught "The Finest Hour". A good New England, true story, rescue.

That was a $460 expense! :(

I priced a new P3 which isn't too bad but not waterproof :D Then I priced a Mariner2 which is waterproof and twice the cost of the P3... :(

Added another expense: Bought a $35 UFO drone with built in camera... Launched it to film my trailer swap in front of my barn... :D :D :D Two mph wind took it with me running after it to maintain control. :o Time to sell the $35 UFO.

But I did recover my old Go Pro from the wreck of my Phantom one! :D :D :D

Which drone should we mere mortals get? (I can't run like the wind). Any recommendations? (Something with night vision would be helpful for those midnight crossings in the San Pedro Channel.)

I saw that one! Really neat idea. Comparable price to a base Phantom and it's waterproof... ( a definitely sensitive requirement in Galacitca's household) :|

The only drawback is the distance. It can handle great wind speeds but cannot move away a couple thousand feet--looks like it is truly personal and stays within 30 feet.

"Optimal flying range: Outdoors 10-30 ft, up to 25 mph"

Really interesting drone. :)
