Weather about 72 degrees and winds about 12 knots. Clear skys and good friends. It doesent get better than this.

What a GREAT TIME we all had and that's even after my $50 parking ticket, lost handheld VHF overboard, broken spreader, and a bent mast! Here are a few photos for the enjoyment and torment of those who are in the process of winterizing their boats. There were 5 Macs that showed up Plus Jeff from Imon Yachts (who saved the day for me in the great Mast-falling-spreader-breaking incident, more on that latter) and I'm sure that after stories of our great time get out, more will make our next get together! Scott came down to see us off and Kevin from Sacramento was there as well. Meeting everyone was great, ofcourse, I'll never remember everyones name....hull, I barely get starboard and Port!

It was a great trip and you couldnt ask for better company.
Ill post my pics. a little later as Im not home yet.

Rich I was going around asking everyone to some how crown you king of
speed, do you know how hard I tried to catch you? Next time all motors will be taken off in the parking lot before we launch....

The Crew of Definite Addiction thanks all for the great showing - 8 boats (including Inmon's new for sale beauty) + boat owners from Big Bear and Sacramento who wanted to meet everyone.

We had perfect light air (for those on Definite Addiction who don't like healing beyond 20 degrees - name withheld for marriage sake) and warm temps in the mid-70s. We had lots of company and an open-class race underway several miles out.

Pat on Tropico - you proved without a shadow of a doubt that an auto-pilot can make an X just as fast as a loaded M!

Afterwards we dropped sails and buzzed the piers at full speed - worth it to see the dropped jaws and pointing - and that was my crew! I had hoped that most Macs would motor together in a flotilla (armada?) but maybe next time.

If someone can explain how to post pictures on this site - I've got some good ones. Thanks all and for whoever gave me the 2" bolt for the boom-to-mast fitting.

Posting photos on this site: if you do a search on the topic, you may find a better explanation, but I will give it a try. First, the photos must reside on the web somewhere, you can't post photos from your computer to this site, you need a web host. For this, I use www.photobucket.com it is free and works fine. After you upload your photos to the site, you paste the web destination for the photo in the thread with this before [img]and%20this%20after%20the%20address[/img]. One cool way to see how others do things is to respond to their post using the "Quote" feature, you can then see the hidden stuff behind the scenes that makes it all work.

Your more than welcome for the mast/boom bolt. I carry three extra's, you just never know!

We had a great time ourselves, and now that we see how it works down at MDR, we will bring some meat to throw on Mike's (aya16's) BBQ.

So I agree, when is our next get together? I will just sail down from Channel Islands Harbor....that will be easier and no chances for my mast to crash down again

Sue and I had a great time too. the guest slips and facilities were great. the long walks to food places tempered a hearty "sea air" appatite. Nice to put faces with avatars.

I too look forward to doing it again. will post some pics soon..got to set up a photobucket account!

Tow ,round trip netted 13.6 mpg on the Hummer H3!

This weekend, I put Rhapsody in "cold storage."

I will be living out my sailing dreams listening to the adventures of those in warm waters. So please keep the stories and photos coming!!!!

My fun right now is planning all those mods that I will be able to do this winter.

Sounds like all had a fantastic time, and great will that when you have dihlema's to take them in stride! (Mast bounce) It can be staightened with a few hefty fella's and some cold beer. Lay strategically over your trailer, and bend away! Hmm, how do I know this?

Mac sailor's are truly the best, I miss getting out with VYCSD, and this year was not a good one for me! I stayed mostly local, and got out even more by doing so!

But again, all of them are like family....really!

Hope to hear the stories, and see some more pics....Good Stuff!
