Was anyone else able to buy a trailer from Triad Trailers?

Apparently somebody got in touch with Triad trailers and recently ordered one for their 26x. The Triad owner call me and needed to do some measurements on my trailer to confirm the dimensions since it's been a while. I mentioned that we talked about widening the trailer a little bit and a mod on the ladder.

Still an awesome trailer thrilled to own it.

I believe I might be the 'somebody' who got in touch with Triad and ordered a trailer for my 26X. I have been following the site for some time, especially the discussion on the new custom trailer, and have finally got around to joining. Thank you to 'Victor' for leading the way on the custom trailer. I had been looking for a trailer to replace my original Mac trailer since I have added weight in the form of a setback Atlas Jack Plate, 90 hp Yamaha plus other equipment. I bought my 26X from Hooper Yachts a few years ago and the help during inspection, purchase and delivery was very good. So, I turned to Hooper Yachts (WI) again since they are a Triad dealer and worked with Bill (the owner) to spec out our new trailer. Triad were very responsive but had a backlog of other trailer orders. So, to cut a long story short we took delivery of our new dual axle trailer (the first dual axle that Triad have made for the 26X) a few weeks ago since we waited on a stacked shipment of other Triad trailers to keep transport cost down. The trailer incorporates the mods that Victor referred to in his March 25 post. We will now have to wait until Spring to transfer from old to new. I'll post some pics when I figure out how.

Congratulations on the new trailer and for pioneering Triad into making a dual axle version!

The most typical way I’ve seen for swapping a boat from one trailer to another (IF the original trailer is still road worthy) is at the boat ramp… launchpad on the old and retrieve on the new… provided there is an appropriate place near you to do that sort of thing (which given you’re in the land of a 1000 lakes shouldn’t be much of an issue  :D :D ).

Again, Congrats!

Best Regards
