I am interested to find out how many OZ members there on this site and their locations.
Can organise MAC get togethers and make the other OZ TS's jealous.

There are 2 of us (M's) here at the Anchorage in Williamstown, and I hear there is a Mack 28 coming in at some stage. I wouldn't be surprised if there were half a dozen or more around the bay, more within a couple of hours drive. There are a couple of regulars on the Aussie TS forum.
I have pondered some sort of get together on the bay from time to time - Willi is not a bad location. QCYC down at Queenscliff (I'm a member) would also be good. The Geelong weekend sounds good but I've always had something on that weekend and they've had bad luck with the weather last couple of years.
Cheers,
AJ

There is also the annual get together in the Whitsundays Sept/Oct which gets 15+ boats. Fantastic tropical cruising if you can afford 3-4 weeks and 5000+ km of towing.

We're in the Southern Riverina and went on the Whitsunday trip last year but will be heading to the Gulf this year, if anyone interested in making up a group but we will be going for three months.
There are two macs at RGYC one is an X and the other an M with a bent mast whichI would like to find out what happened to.
Would be interested in forming an OZ group and meeting up but won't be around until at least October.
The Corio bay area looks pretty good to me as even if it cuts up rough it is sheltered.

I'm with AJ anywhere around the bay is good for us Vic owners. We sail overnight to Queenscliff, Portarlington, Geelong, Blairgowrie and Martha Cove during the season anywhere would not be a problem. What about out the front of Mistral house

Planning on 2 mths at the Whitsundays Sept/Oct 2009

LOL, JS
Not enough moorings in front of my place, but we could start at Patterson River. Shame your boat is laid up for the next six months. Hopefully putting mine back in this weekend and fancy that, Mother's day on the bay.

Between Melbourne & Canberra.
MacMac will be in Canberra full time by the end of the year.
I WANT A NATIONALS!!!!!
......................just don't want to organise 'em. Wangi on Lake Mac would be the go.
I'm so getting tired of being the only Mac to show up to Maraly Point each year.

I can get to most places on the Bay. Have launched at Patterson River , The Warmies Williamston and even Geelong isn't too far. (Born and bred in Geelong) Would enjoy getting together with some other Mac owners. Boat is still un-named. Any clever ideas anyone?

I'm in perth with Oskar...although we have not yet met, I think I saw him in Peppermint Grove [ bay] steaming around in the shallows...If not, it was another white
We are isolated here in the West and its a long expensive tow to the East...Maybe one day????

Apparently quite a few new boats went over to the west last year, I know of a slow blue one over there called "Blue Angel" and it owns some absolutely wonderful people.
Be sure to say g'day if you see them.

puggsy and boblee:
I'll have you know that Oskar has a much faster Blue 26M hull
And I have yet to take him out on the Swan R, so it must be some other (slower white) 26M puggsy saw at Peppermint Grove.
