I have a new 2008 Aluminum trailer Which has less than 2000 miles on it. Most of the miles are short 40 mile trips at about 55MPH, The inside tread is worn down about 1/3 on both tires. Has anyone else had this problem? I have a call into my dealer to see if there is known alignment problem.

I have a 2007 aluminum MAC26M trailer. Has ove 3000 miles on it with the same tires. No suspicious tire wear.

Wonder if the wheel bearings were properly installed. Or if there is axle/torsion bar play. I would jack up each wheel clear of the ground and check for any play. Other than that, the wear would indicate the tires are toed-outward slightly or inward (castor/camber) wise.

just my thoughts on this.

My trailer tires do the same thing on a 1999 steel trailer. I put a floor jack under the axle while storage in winter. It takes the weight off of the axle and helps the inside tire wear.

Had this problem even though the tyre pressure was up to 55 psi.
If these are the same tyres as we had on an 06 trailer they are only rated at 680 kg and your mac will need tyres rated at 1000 kg min.
The tyre dealer who eventually changed ours was amazed that the tyres hadn't blown as they were totally wrecked (delaminated) internally, his explanation of the sde wear was that the tyres were too soft and they were ballooning forward until the rim caught up and then they would whip back causing the heel and toe effect predominantly on the outside but actually on both outer edges.
You should see that the lug is worn more forward than the rear (I think) if not it is the reverse.
