What is a safe number??

What is a safe number of passengers , I know I should know this already but just can't
remember off the top of my head?? thanks!

The 26M manual states:
Ballast tank full: 6 persons or 960 lbs.
Ballast tank empty: 4 persons 640 lbs and no one should be on the cabin or foredeck.

I have 10 life jackets on board - - - because through the years I've accumulated 10 that are still good - - - but there is NO WAY I would host 10 souls on my

PS But what would I do with 10 of them anyway??? I'd probably cut it down to a more reasonable and usable number - - - like 5
