THE WORST DAY

What is the worst day in a :macm: owners life...it has to be the day he has to quit his ownership. Sadly, because of other circumstances, I have had to sell SEAHORSE. I am now " Boatless Bob".
As soon as things change, I'll be " BACK IN A :macm: "...HOPEFULLY its like...' back in a tic"...

I'm staying around just to keep tabs on what all the OTHER lucky :macm: owners are doing to improve their " Pride and Joy"

cheers [?] Puggsy

That is terrible news. What a beautiful boat she was.

Keep us posted and if you ever come up above, you have lots of boats that will have ya as crew.

Thanks Russ, I appreciate the sentiment. Right about now, the new owner is enjoying SEAHORSE, back on her mooring [still mine] [ loaned] probably having breakfast after his first night on board. You have to help out where possible. The trailer needed a bit of sorting.

SeaHorse is such a pretty boat. That must be heartbreaking. Hopefully, you'll get another one soon; heck, hopefully I'll find my first one soon!

Hi Pugsy,

I know how you feel - I still look out to the cornor of the yard to see the boat, only to see an empty concrete pad.

I am sure it will take a little while to get used to not having a Mac - but hopefully the Catalina 375 will compensate :)

Hi Puggsy,
What a sad day for you. That beautiful fast blue boat gone to another owner.

Know a bit how you feel. Mine still in for modifications and not in front of the house on the mooring. Today the first nice spring day and I can't work on the boat to get it ready for the season.

Hope you get another soon.

Hi KM...the new owner is aware of the site but it will be up to him as to becoming a participant in the forum...

Mistral...the mooring is not in front of the house . I'm 25km north of the Swan River...the houses facing the mooring are in the millions....but the spot is where the authorities chose...i'm not complaining...Cheers until next time...Puggsy

Sorry, Mistral, misunderstood...by the way, how is the mooring situation where you are...do you own it? Can it be onsold? do you pay a rental?. I dont mean to pry as to $ cost just the setup.
On the Swan R. we own them and can onsell. However the authorities charge an annual rental which is standard on the whole river of $450 P.A. A bit steep. Last year it went up 81%...a real moneygrabber.
And no more are being allowed in the whole river, which can have only one effect...to force prices up...
Nothing is available under AU$14,ooo. When it hits $65K...guess what? Cheers Puggsy... 8) :macm: 8)

Hi Puggsy,

The mooring is part and parcel with the house. I believe you can onsell, but it is a bit of a legal nightmare as you need to separate the title from the house.

I always thought this photo belongs in a brochure or magazine. So pretty.
