We currently have our 26M on a marina pontoon.

We also keep the ballast tanks full of water. Has anyone experienced any problems doing this ?

Our first check when boarding the boat is to ensure the tanks are still full.

Stoway, Would you have a Picture of your Mac on the pontoons? What is the cost of something like that?

I think that "pontoon", is Right Pondian, or Downundereze, for floating dock.

Where could the ballast water disappear to? My advice is to add some swimming pool cleaner and a bit of chlorine to the water.
It cant hurt the fibreglass...and it will stop the water going "off".

I also have a and have left her out on a mooring all the summer with the ballast tanks full and like people have said it is very important to keep them full, equally like you point out it is also important to check every time you board the tank has remained full. A partial filled tank is as much dangerous if not more than an empty one, the water rushing from side to side will take charge of your craft. My went on its mooring in April this year and I have just removed her last week for the winter. There were a few barnicules around the valve but in general the factory anti fouling has done its job. I did put in 6 clorine tablets at the begining and then also washed out with fresh water and a bottle of bleach to kill of any salt water monsters that might loom in the future. I have also looked in the tank with a friends fibre optics and there isn't a sign of anything untoward growing in the tank.
