I know that selection of the best prop. for Suzuki DF50 has been hugely discussed here. But after extensive searching in this forum, I cannot find recent info. on the performance of a Piranha prop for Suzuki DF50 on an X.
I found some discussion - see below- but no recent report on performance (speed and rpms) and which pitch worked best. Can you help direct me? What have I missed? Many thanks.

Tom Root reports below from 2009... [problem is that Piranha does not make 10 pitch blades. And the part number below is for the stock Suzuki prop not a Piranha.]What prop would I buy today? One that was not available, but that I asked Piranha Propellers for when testing the others. Piranha Prop 129C on this web page: http://www.piranhapropellers.com/Suzuki.php They rate it for a top speed of 19 to 22 MPH which is correct for the Mac26X.

After much frustration with several prop changes I finally was able to come up with what I consider the BEST prop for this engine. I obtained the 6,000 + RPM that the engine can run up, to get the boat to 24 MPH. Light load, Solo. Fully loaded with cruising equipment etc. and up to 3 people at 20 MPH. Skiing, nah, I have yet to try that! The prop I highly reccomend is the Piranha 10 pitch with composite replacable blades. Inexpensive, durable and no problems ever so far, I'd say they are the ticket to prop nirvana, seriously! If you call and order one mention me by name, and that it's for a Macgregor X and they should be able to hook you up. If not, order P/N# 58100-95212-019, and I'll send a paper template of what they trimmed off of mine to get the performance that I love.
