Rotary Steering Cable

I am expecting my new rotary cable in on Tuesday from go2marine.com $159 incl. shipping to Alabama Part no. Teleflex SS-137-10.
The folks were very helpful and informative, although they were not too clear on the Mac 26X application.
Has anyone attempted to instal the rotary system in lieu of the more traditional R&P........?
