Were buying a 2001 Gemini 105Mc, WITH ONLY 420 hours on the disal, so this is Good By to all my friends here unless you bump into us at an anchorage on the Salish Sea. Our new to us catamaran will get renamed from ( a really hot place  , since the editing won't let the name be posted here :? ) 'hull Ninio' currently moored in San Diego to 'Williawa' ( meaning mountain winds ) so give us a yell on channel 16 . GOOD BY FOR NOW
I can be found posting on the PNWsailers.com as Dobro where there be the Breathern Of the Sound , a cannon firing bunch of pirates that hangs out at Lattitudes and Attitudes Magizine parties Seafaring.com and hull is not bleaped to another word. AAAAARRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

Fair winds.

And you can still stop by. There are other non-Mac owners who still do. I would be fun to hear your experiences and how the new boat compares to the Mac.

Better use the proper renaming ceremony, Bubba, or you're gonna have trouble with King Neptune. It requires copious amounts of liquor... for the boat and for you.

Good Luck.

I have a friend in Marina Del Rey who bought a new 2008 Gemini 105 and I really like the boat. It feels like a 42 footer and sails fast like lightning. My friend has a screecher on his that really adds to speed - - - and the boat DOES NOT heel.

Fair winds - - - and come back here and tell us of you experiences with your new boat.

It does have a 200% and 155% screacher and spinnaker and other head sails and only 420 origional hours on the motor.

My friend's boat also has a LOT of electronics including an autopilot which would take it down a sidewalk - - - you can make any course change or % turn - - - all via remote control. Neato :!: The only thing I don't like about the boat is the starboard (then starboard) master cabin - - - too small with no walk around room.

I have been looking at the Gemini for a few years and when one shows up at my anchorage area I study and admire.
I would have to live aboard if I bought one and that is very tempting.
Fair Winds and safe Sailing, time goes by to quick and do what your dreams are made of.

Bubba.

So what happened to your Mac 26 M? Did you sell her even having gotten new mainsail or did you trade her in on the new boat?
When is the re naming party and how are you getting the boat from California to Washington?

Congratulations!

The Mac was a square filler for our eventual Gemini. The Gemini and MacX are very similar in that you can beach then they both go in shallow water and the boards kick up (can't get past my Hobie days). When the real-estate market turns around and our second son is off to college in two years we'll be back in the market.

That said, we really fell in love with our Mac (especially with the 90 Suzuki) and do NOT intend to sell the boat. Our youngest son wants Compromise handed down to him. It's "cheap to keep".

Since its has pressurized filtered water, showers, AC, new radio with remote mic, upgraded electrical panel, big motor and various other small mods, I can't think of any other mods other than moving the winches back and finishing the AP.

Great boat.

Enjoy your Gemini. We did on our week long charter.

With the breezes from the NW and the current and big swells this time of year I think it will be trucked on a low boy trailer to the Salish Sea. I don't want to talk about getting rid of our Mac on here because the web gods will bleep the hole post, but it will be listed on Yacht World under the name 'Inspiration' if things go good on the new boat deal.

Oh Steve sorry we won't be able to race with our new sails, but come on over to Pudget Sound and go out with us.

PS: I never known a Pirate to sale a Cat. You've never met a Pacific Pirate or you would not be here, they have been sailing catamarans for centuries, we only here about Bahamian pirates like my great great great great greatgreat grandfather Bihamian first governor Woods Rogers 18th century on my moms side and there's also pirates on my dad's side of the family too but not that far back in time so I will not mention any names AAAARRRGGGGGGGGGG

Cat in the Cradle, Pacific Pirate Sailors.
Have at least one of those Older Generation Pirates that were shipped over to the Aussie Nation back in the 1800's from the Brits.(Brits sent most of the hard criminals to Australia).
Have over 500 families now in Australia that have grown over the past 2 centuries.
I love family tree's as the roots go deeper the more you learn.
Dave, Aarrgggg
PS:
All those rejected Brits made a good life for them self after they found unity and prided them-self.
One day I will visit the down under Aussie's and pay my respect.
