I have a German customer who vacations in Bradenton, FL. He has as 26M that he keeps there and is struggling with understanding my instructions regarding:

*Installing his Cradle Cover
*Running his halyards aft
*Getting his sail up and down while single handing

Have u thought of typing out your instructions and emailing them to him? He could then use Google translator to convert from Eng to Gr. Just a thought.

I might be able to help you but would need a little more info. What is a Cradle Cover. I don't have one on my X. Running halyards aft sounds like a mod. I am sure there is a lot of technical and nautical jargon that is difficult to translate. It would probably stump most computer translators. Much like a henway (proper spelling)!!

Does your client live here? If so I could translate some of the more arcane jargon and you should be able to do the rest. Most Germans are somewhat capable in English.

I don´t know what a cradle cover is. A cradle in German is a docking station for a celular or a handheld Computer. It´s "Docking Station" in German as well.

Ich glaube ein Halyard ist ein Fall nicht ein Schott. Naturlich gibt es zwei Schoette die nach hinten ins Cockpit gelaeufen werden muessen. Ich habe auch keine Ahnung was ein Cradle Cover ist. Unnautisch, waere ein Cradle eine Baby Wiege. Ich erwarte Aufklaerung.

Ich glaube das der Toby ganz genaue Hinweise braucht um sein Kunde zu erklaeren wie man die Segel einhaendig heisst.

That's because it was spelled incorrectly. Now that we have the correct spelling maybe the Germans will weigh in on it.
