I thought it would be fun to start a poll to see what special or unique food or drink items are brought along on cruises (short or long) that you typically don't consume otherwise.

We like to bring those small bottles of wine on board - they're just enough for the two of us for a dinner and they're really easy to store and chill.

I gotta have peanut butter filled pretzels......yummo!!!

Smoked fish--in the spirit of things. It keeps well, bears no special preparation in a pinch, and is delicious with beer.

Just discovered those devilish babies when someone cleverly slipped them in on the canteen spoon. Board meeting and my brain went gaga! I couldn't even speak intelligently

I like to bring beef jerkey, pickled herring, and those white and pink frosted animal cookies to snack on.

Spicy Shrimp Top Ramen soup cups also seems to be included.

For breakfast, I love to fire up my two burner stove with a skillet and cook pancakes, french toast, or a bunch of eggs

It is kind of funny that I normally don't eat the above at home, but it is typically brought onboard.

Trail mix. I never munch on it at home, but always take some for sailing.

When we wake up on the boat , I love a little Capt Morgan spiced rum in my coffee .
It gives it such a good flavor !

I never do it at home , but its something about being out on the boat , that makes it taste so goood !

Small containers of milk (3 X 7 ounces) that do not need refrigeration. One 7 ounce container can spend the day opened without refrigeration or 6 months minimum unopened.

Packets of assorted pasta's which are mixed with a tin of beef or lamb heavy chunky soup/stew, rarely eat them at home but great filling meals for two when on a boat for long periods use a bit of water but good.

Quebec...we discovered Parmalat a few year back..good in coffee, in cereal , and took us down from two freezers to one for a week trip with 6 up. We do run out of cold food on the 7 th day, but I feel I am half way to the Duane Dunn cruising merit badge...

Yeah, we use Parmalat as well... tastes just fine and you don't even have to refrigerate it if you don't want to... perfectly fine on cereal, in coffee, etc.

my must have will be KAHLUA , straight -in milk- in coffee- in coke.

Simple - they irradiate it. No residual radiation remains, and the milk is perfectly safe... it just kills all the beasties.

We love cream cheese filled pabano peppers use whipped philly cream cheese in a turkey basting syringe to inject. Scoop cream cheese into a zip lock bag, clip one corner and squeeze to fill the baster, or use a pastry bag if you have one. Leave the stems on to make them easy to handle on the grill; wrap in bacon if you really want a treat. MMMMmmmm I'm making myself hungry..............
