That is awesome! That is just what my wife has been asking me to do. Do you have drawings or did you just "wing" it? Congratulations!

Nice galley mod....that table is crying out for a couple of long drawers underneath for stowing galley-ware ...if you are careful they would still let you drop the table down for the mid berth concept too..

Yeah, that's what I did with my table... found some suitable plastic drawers at one of those housewares places and then added small L-shaped channels underneath as slides. Works fine, and the drawers can be slid to either side, allowing them to be double-ended.
For those who want to make a similar dinette table, here's three tips (and they're worth every penny you paid for them!)
- first, make sure you've reinforced it from underneath to allow it to be used for a platform for sleeping - about 3-4 stringers will do - and make sure they are securely glued & fastened along their length...
- second, make sure the table fits snugly into the slots in the front of each dinette bench (for the same reason)...
- third, a 'lip' around the edge of the table will help prevent things from sliding off, but you might want to make slots in the corners of the 'lip' so you can easily remove crumbs and such. The lip is easy to make from L-channel edging, available at most lumber places.

I just love the cockpit flooring, exactly what I need to do, is it easy to lift as my batteries are installed under the helm seat although I would only need access to install and remove them each season. How is the new sole secured ?
Phil.

Your mods are real nice!
I hope I'm wrong, but your helm seat pedestal looks like it may only be rated for 5 mph (trolling speed). How did you attach your flooring to the cockpit deck? My concern is that your seat assembly might break, and throw you off the back of the boat. I've reaserched pedestals before, and found they have different ratings, and have to be solidly installed.
Be aware that your beautiful cabinet work on the galley (port) side, has increased the weight bias to that side, and on a Mac it can make a big difference, especially if you run un-ballasted. When you load supplies and passangers try to balance the boat. You can capsize a Mac. I've come very close to it!

CAT , Kevin and others???? I have pondered the drawers beneath the table solution as well.
I...... was thinking pull out to the "front" ? I realize part of the issue is.. Self dumping : ) when you heel.. That's an easy fix..Pressure load magnetics or loaded sliders even cheap plastic kid proof catches to keep the drawers closed..But there must be something I am missing with my thoughts.. ...

Well, I had the drawers go fore and aft because (1) they could be accessed from either side of the table and (2) because the ribs need to run fore and aft in order to make the board strong enough to sit/sleep on... and the drawers fit between the ribs.

I really like that idea could keep crib board, cards and other essentials like that there for easy access.

Yeah, we keep silverware, playing cards, small games, pens/pencils, etc. in the drawers. If I get some time I'll take a few pics and post them later.

Thanks. the trick will be to keep it a good size while still being able to fold part of the table down. That'll be a next year project anyways.

Kevin did you manage to buy that Outside Oak Corner or did you have to make it..???
IF? We used 3/4" or better yet 1" Oak Faced Plywood and Veneered the two corners? Reduced the depth of the Front pull drawers and there by allowed 1 back and 1 middle rib , Might that be strong enough to support a persons weight?
Hummm I have 1 piece of 3/4" maple for another project I am working on in the house. Maybe tomorrow I set up some blocks and see if it will hold my weight.. The Spans not that big humm maybe?
