Thanks.. Problems? Pros? Cons?
We bought the 9.8 Tohatsu from them as Tohatsu makes the Nissan, so same outboard, but a little cheaper.
We used it last fall in Florida and were out about a month and again this Spring when we were out almost 2 months. We ended up motoring a lot and we love the outboard and probably put over 400 miles on it combining both trips (over 500 miles total). Starts instantly every time, gets good gas mileage, ran great, isn't that loud and would buy another with no hesitation. We also bought a new long shaft 3 1/2 HP Tohatsu for the dinghy to get something lighter on it vs. the 5 HP Nissan.
We bought both Tohatsu's from onlineoutboards....

... and had no problems with them either. The 9.8 came to the house and since the boat and our Suburban were left in the east after the first trip we had them send the 3 1/2 to Ruth's daughter's house in Penn. They got everything right.
We ordered the 9.8 HP as the Extra Long Shaft...

....and would suggest reading that as there are some clearance issues with the Tohatsu and about any of the larger outboards on an S or D in the motorwell. I took care of those and the outboard has been great.
I also changed the very high thrust prop that comes on the Extra Long Shaft model to a 7 pitch 4 blade that still has a lot of thrust and feel so far that it is a good prop for the outboard/boat. Now I have the original prop as a backup on board,
