How do you guys paint your 23's on a trailer.

I suppose one could use bottle jacks and a 4x4 to bring the front off about 3 inches to allow the roller to pass under then repeat on the stern but won't that put too much pressure on the keel and hull?...how do you spead out the weight...styrafoam with a notch cut in it...do you have any pictures?

Thanks a mil Summer...very helpful...I painted her on the trailer and it was tuff...turns out the marina has 4 jacks they would have loaned me...I will use them tomorrow to get at the places the trailer cradle hides

I have same clips on my steel trailer. I've not yet looked for a source to replace them, but rather, am going to weld a series of loops every 3 feet or so along the trailer to thread and secure the wires.

Not too hard to roll the trailer out from under the boat. I built a heavy duty aft support and a simple V block that is adjustable with off the shelf "harbor freight" automotive jack stands.

Great photos Chris. I hadn't seen those before. We're thinking of painting the bottom of our M25 this winter and I've been racking my brain and scouring the net trying to come up with ideas on how to do it. If you have any more photos to share, please send them my way. Particularly your stern and bow supports. I'd like to try and emulate something like those.

I probably have about 20-50 pictures on my computer of the so I can send you some... PM my your email address and I'll look this weekend. When the boat is on the mounts (wood frame) it is amazingly stable, much more so then the trailer. I have done lots of my work jumping on/off and all over the boat and feel very comfortable working underneath it.

You could use my technique of pulling up to a shipyard, writing them a check for $2000, and picking your boat up two weeks later.
