helm teak seat

Hi there i just got a hold of a 2000 macgregorX had it out a couple of times. like lt a lot, Problem is I cant see over the bow, Helm seet is way to low for me. I saw somewere on this site a rased teak helm seat that would work for me .I have no promblem with wood work , but this archt seat has metal tubing to give its shape.Does anyone now if there is a kit one could bye for this seat. Or how to instruction,Any thing on this would be a great help thank you.

Why not just get a raised, curved cushion? Would save you a ton of work and also give you a comfy place to plant your posterior! :)

Bottomsiders and C Cushions both make a nice helm seat cushion - I have the Bottomsiders myself - and it gives you a real lift.

I'm 6'5" and I find myself standing at the helm much of the time.

I like Kevin's suggestion, but if you're digging the Teak Helm seat (which I think is also very cool), you can maybe send a PM to Jose Teixeira for some advice. Here's his mod...
