just thought i would share.
I stole ideas from a few people and just combined some. Still have a few thing to do but its close to finished.
Didn't really like the hinges after i installed them. I weight all the stuff that was being replaced and all the stuff that went back in, the whole thing turned out to be 37 lbs heavier vs stock (if you replace your galley top make sure to cut out the old one, those tiles are heavy). I'll add these to the mod section later.
Anyways, pics work better than explaining it.

This looks really nice! I love that traditional wood look. I am trying to find some adhesive wood grain vinyl to put in a few places to get that look without the weight/cost of the real thing.

How did you attach the top drawers to the wall ?

It's only screwed to the ring of the old galley top. Which is only two screws to keep it from sliding.
The top isn't fixed to the boat any where. The galley grab bar and cross brace on the ceiling keep it from moving back and forth.
And the ridge that runs the length of the hatch keeps it locked from moving side to side.
Everything was cut VERY close ( or as close as I could).

The only place that will get bolted to the boat up top is where the old light panel was. I'm going to open that hole alittle bigger and put a bolt to hold the bottom panel and it's the main reason I made it the way I did.

I took the boat out and ran WOT in some good chop and nothing moved so its not going any where. When you grab it you can fell its all there to stay.


Ualpow, I going to try to find the wood contact vinyl also. I seen in the mod section someone did it to on all the lower parts on the inside and it looks great. A table is next as far as inside stuff. Going to do it in the same wood and use a router to reuse the stock chart panel in the new wood table.

My thought as well. I'm not a big fan of the sliding galley in the and the head room in the head...
My next major mod will probably be a replacement of the galley with something similar to what you done. Thanks for sharing!

I finally got around to adding this to the mod section to make it easier to find and maybe help someone else, as alot of the mods others have posted have gave me some good ideas or were just copied.

Here is a galley mod that I did recently on my . I call it a functional prototype as it is an ongoing project...
Major changes over the original design was moving the stove aft, raising the countertop about 4" and making a 10" deep food locker were the stove was.

My "functional prototypes" never look so finished.

From the pictures it looks like the woodwork is up against the hull below the inner liner. If against the hull, have you taken into account flexing of the hull in rough conditions? I made some shelving units fitted to the hull but left gaps between the woodwork and the hull and used floating mounts to keep from breaking the woodwork when in rough conditions.
