Summer Storage

I will be storing my

for the summer months in south Florida soon and am trying to make up a list of things to do. Here is what I have so far - maybe others can add:
1. wax haul
2. automatic charger connected
3. empty fresh water tank
4. grease gate valve
5. flush engine
6. fuel stabilizer in tank
7. grease bearing buddies
I was thinking of leaving the forward hatch cracked a couple of inches to allow a little bit of air circulation since the boat will be under a fabric covered building but OTOH I'm concerned about critters finding a new home in the cabin. Ideas?

Other suggestions:
1) Empty and flush out porta-pottie
2) If you have 120 VAC available, run a small fan to circulate air in the cabin
3) Open the various storage holds
4) Install some moisture reducers (e.g., DampRid)
5) Remove any food supplies
Just some thoughts!

One of the great 'design features' of the Mac is the built-in ventilation gap between the cabin door and the sliding hatch: since your boat will be shaded from direct sunlight I wouldn't bother with leaving the bow hatch cracked. Coastal BC may be a bit different from south Florida(!), but on a trailer in the winter rain (of which there is lots) the humidity is darn high here; and I just make sure I have removed all the cushions & mattresses.

I buy a package of moth balls from the dollar store and put the balls in a gatorade, or similar jug. Leave the top off the jug and place in the sink. Close the cabin up and I have never had critters enter and make homes. Not spiders, wasps, or other nasties. Only takes a few minutes to ventilate the odor out and you're ready to go.
