I plan to replace the Bimini, Main sail cover, and Roller furling cover.
My plan is to order Sunbrella fabric, then have a friend who has the equipment and know how use the old one as a pattern.

About the easiest on my wallet I can find is 21.99/yard for the 60 inch width.
Does anyone know a less expensive source?

Try Weblon. Last twice as long.

Just an honest inquiry. Is there any documentation for Weblon lasting twice a long as Sunbrella? Being in the furniture industry I know of Sunbrella, but I am unaware of Weblon.

I have black Sunbrella on the bimini and all seat cushions in the cockpit, and they look and perform as good now as they did when I had them made five years ago.

P.S. I did a search for the aforementioned fabrics and found this quote

It appears there are several fabrics that are liked. I still can't deny that I am completely satisfied with my choice of Sunbrella. I do wish it was not as costly.

My experience with Sunbrella is that it's an amazing fabric. Lasts so long and never fades. Doesn't get hot in the sun. What is this made out of?

It's an acrylic material with a lot of coating and UV inhibition expertise ...still the gold standard for marine stuff IMHO

You'd probably be just fine with either. The weak link in marine canvas is the stiching. Make sure your buddy uses marine grade UV treated thread.

Those are the same three canvas project that we are working on this year.
21.99/yard for the 60 inch width is a very good price as long as they have the color you are looking for.

Try ebay if you are willing to be flexible on colors. Do a search on sunbrella. I use a minimum weight of 8.25 ounces per square yard.

$24.50 a yard and is coated on one side. I helped a guy put on a bimini and dodger today made out of that material. It is much heavier than the regular sunbrella that we have been using. Not sure if I would want it for our use,



We made a new dodger, Bimini and sail-pack for the Endeavour and I'm not good enough friends with anyone that I would of done this for someone else . I had about a month of part days in each one. I use the old ones to some degree, but added features that make them more useable and easier to put on and off. We also made a full cockpit bug enclosure. That info is here..
