This sites 'M' manual states that you should never let the daggerboard drop more than 57" below the surface of the deck. When it is retracted up to the level of the deck the bottom of the foil is just about flush with the hull bottom, therefore the difference between 57" and the keel opening, plus 57", should give you the original length of the DB.

Cant you measure the thickness of the whiteline, the distance home, and divide the resultant volume by the density of FG and buy that much FG replacement??
If the boat is not in the V block all the way, the daggerboard will be behind the safety wire which stops it from falling down on the road. Probably pay to put a second line in (just a bit of rope) to save if from happening again.
